【摘要】:Electrodepositsofleadandlead-tinalloysonsteelandferrousalloysareproducedwhereitisdesiredtoobtainatmosphericcorrosionresistance.Depositsofleadandlead-tinalloysonsteelhaveshowntohaveexcellentcorrosionprotectivequalitiesinatmosphericexposure,especiallywhenunder-coatedbyathindepositofcopper(ornickel).Applicationsofleadandlead-tinalloydepositsincludethefollowing:protectionfromdilutesulfuricacid;liningofbrinerefrigerationtanks;chemicalapparatus;andpartsforstoragebatteries;andforcoatingbearingsurfaces.Inthislastapplication,leadiselectroplatedalone,orasanalloyandcoatedwithanothermetal,suchasindium.Theindiummaybediffusedintotheleadorleadalloybyheattreatment.SeeAppendixX1.1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforelectrodepositedcoatingsofleadandlead-tinalloysonsteelandferrousalloys.Thecoatingsoflead-tinalloysarethosethatrangeintincontentuptobutnotexceeding15mass%.Thecoatingsrangingbetween3and15mass%intincontentareknownalsoasx201C;ternex201D;metallicelectrodeposits.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotapplytosheet,strip,orwireintheunfabricatedform.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
