【摘要】:Theassumptionsofthephysicalsystemaregivenasfollows:6.1.1Theaquiferisofuniformthicknessandconfinedbyimpermeablebedsaboveandbelow.6.1.2Theaquiferisofconstanthomogeneousporosityandmatrixcompressibilityandofhomogeneousandisotropichydraulicconductivity.6.1.3Theoriginofthecylindricalcoordinatesystemistakentobeonthewell-boreaxisatthetopoftheaquifer.6.1.4Theaquiferisfullyscreened.Theassumptionsmadeindefiningthemomentumbalanceareasfollows:6.2.1Theaveragewatervelocityinthewellisapproximatelyconstantoverthewell-boresection.6.2.2Flowislaminarandfrictionalheadlossesfromflowacrossthewellscreenarenegligible.6.2.3Flowthroughthewellscreenisuniformlydistributedovertheentireaquiferthickness.6.2.4Changeinmomentumfromthewatervelocitychangingfromradialflowthroughthescreentoverticalflowinthewellarenegligible.6.2.5Thesystemresponseisanexponentiallydecayingsinusoidalfunction.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationoftransmissivityfromthemeasurementofthedampedoscillationabouttheequilibriumwaterlevelofawell-aquifersystemtoasuddenchangeofwaterlevelinawell.Underdampedresponseofwaterlevelinawelltoasuddenchangeinwaterlevelischaracterizedbyoscillatoryfluctuationaboutthestaticwaterlevelwithadecreaseinthemagnitudeoffluctuationandrecoverytoinitialwaterlevel.Underdampedresponsemayoccurinwellstappinghighlytransmissiveconfinedaquifersandindeepwellshavinglongwatercolumns.1.2ThisanalyticalprocedureisusedinconjunctionwiththefieldprocedureTestMethodD4044forcollectionoftestdata.1.3LimitationsSlugtestsareconsideredtoprovideanestimateoftransmissivityofaconfinedaquifer.Thistestmethodrequiresthatthestoragecoefficientbeknown.Assumptionsofthistestmethodprescribeafullypenetratingwell(awellopenthroughthefullthicknessoftheaquifer),buttheslugtestmethodiscommonlyconductedusingapartiallypenetratingwell.Suchapracticemaybeacceptableforapplicationunderconditionsinwhichtheaquiferisstratifiedandhorizontalhydraulicconductivityismuchgreaterthanverticalhydraulicconductivity.Insuchacasethetestwouldbeconsideredtoberepresentativeoftheaveragehydraulicconductivityoftheportionoftheaquiferadjacenttotheopenintervalofthewell.Themethodassumeslaminarflowandisapplicableforaslugtestinwhichtheinitialwater-leveldisplacementislessthan0.1or0.2ofthelengthofthestaticwatercolumn.1.4ThistestmethodofanalysispresentedhereisderivedbyvanderKamp(1)basedonanapproximationoftheunderdampedresponsetothatofanexponentiallydampedsinusoid.AmorerigorousanalysisoftheresponseofwellstoasuddenchangeinwaterlevelbyKipp(2)indicatesthatthemethodpresentedbyvanderKamp(2)matchesthesolutionofKipp(1)whenthedampingparametervaluesarelessthanabout0.2andtimegreaterthanthatofthefirstpeakoftheoscillation(2).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
