【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversnucleargradeuraniummetalthathaseitherbeenprocessedthroughanenrichmentplant,orhasbeenproducedbytheblendingofhighlyenricheduraniumwithotheruranium,toobtainuraniumofany235Uconcentrationbelow20%(andgreaterthan15%)andthatisintendedforresearchreactorfuelfabrication.Thescopeofthisspecificationincludesspecificationsforenricheduraniummetalderivedfromcommercialnaturaluranium,recovereduranium,orhighlyenricheduranium.Commercialnaturaluranium,recovereduraniumandhighlyenricheduraniumaredefinedinSection3.Theobjectivesofthisspecificationaretodefinetheimpurityanduraniumisotopelimitsforcommercialgradeenricheduraniummetal.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtoprovidethenuclearindustrywithastandardforenricheduraniummetalwhichistobeusedintheproductionofresearchreactorfuel.Inadditiontothisspecification,thepartiesconcernedmayagreetootherappropriateconditions.1.3Thescopeofthisspecificationdoesnotcomprehensivelycoverallprovisionsforpreventingcriticalityaccidentsorrequirementsforhealthandsafetyorforshipping.Observanceofthisstandarddoesnotrelievetheuseroftheobligationtoconformtoallapplicableinternational,federal,state,andlocalregulationsforprocessing,shipping,oranyotherwayofusinguraniummetal(see,forexample,C996regardingreferences).
