【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthemethodsandproceduresfortestingfrictiontapes.Suchtapesconsistofawovenfabricsheetingthathasbeenimpregnatedwithanadhesiveinsulatingcompoundandcutintorollsofnarrowwidth.Thesetapesarecommonlyusedforprotectingandbindinginplace,insulationappliedtojointsofelectricalwiresandcables,andforothermechanicalpurposes.Note1-ThematerialspecificationsformerlyincludedinthesetestmethodsarenowcontainedinSpecificationD4514.Thetestmethodsincludedinthisstandardareasfollows:Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsarethestandard.TheSIunitsinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ThereisnoequivalentIECstandard.
